Connecting Patients and Providers, One Click at a Time
Our 'PatientNav' tool is a web-based application designed to close the communication gap for patients with complex surgical needs. This paper presents the results of our successful phase I pilot trial, demonstrating the tool's feasibility and high usability in a real-world clinical setting.
PatientNav enables patients and their care teams to interface directly, using patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) to share critical information throughout the surgical journey.
Our phase I pilot trial confirmed the tool's effectiveness, achieving a 95.4% usability rate among patients. No users reported technical issues, proving its reliability in a clinical environment.
The application is designed not just for clinical staff but also to assist patients in navigating their own care, empowering them with tools for aftercare and self-management.
